Woozworld New Feature - Stackable furniture
Mya teased it last Friday during her Late Night Show, and now it's finally here... AVAILABLE FOR YOU NOW!
Let's dive straight into the details of how this exciting new feature works:
New Building Blocks Furniture
A brand-new collection of Building Blocks furniture is now available in Shopz!
Add these blocks to your Unitz, and you can stack them on top of each other to create elevations.
These blocks function as their own floor, allowing you to place any furniture on top of them. For example:
- Chairs, switches, or any other items can be placed on elevated surfaces.
Note: To interact with elevated furniture (e.g., sit on a chair or trigger a switch), your avatar must be able to reach the same level as the furniture.
To easily find all available building blocks in your Inventory or Shopz, use the new "Stackable" filter in Edit Mode.
Changing Elevation and Moving Blocks
Stacking furniture is super easy! Simply drag it onto the building block you want. As you move it around, you'll notice green and gray dots appear under your furniture. These dots help you understand its position in 3D space:
- Green dots indicate the actual corners of your furniture.
- Gray dot lines show the floor area below your furniture.
- The green number next to your furniture shows its exact elevation:
Elevations start at 0 on the ground floor.
However, you might encounter situations where you want to place furniture behind other blocks or in locations that aren't reachable by dragging. For example, placing a long wooden block behind a stack of granite may not be possible:
In these cases, you can use the new Move Option tool while selecting furniture. This tool offers three modes:
- Default Mode: Allows free movement as usual.
- Horizontal Mode: Locks the height, keeping the elevation fixed as you move the furniture around.
- Vertical Mode: Locks the floor position, letting you adjust the elevation only.
Pro Tip: Use Vertical Mode to place floating building blocks in the air and stack additional furniture on top.
Woozen & BestiZ Movement
Woozens and BestiZ can climb up or down blocks as long as the elevation difference is only one block high. If the elevation is two blocks or more, it's too high for climbing.
To walk under elevated furniture, there must be at least four blocks of clearance; otherwise, your avatar won't fit. Keep in mind that avatars scaled up or down in size might require different clearance levels.
Note for BestiZ: Clearance requirements depend on their size and level, as they grow larger as they level up.
Advanced Tips for Designers and Builders
Here are some pro tips for advanced builders:
#1: Move Multiple Stacked Furniture: Select multiple stacked items and move them together.
- Web users tip: Hold CTRL and click on specific items to select multiple pieces at once.
#2: Blueprints with Stacked Furniture: You can create blueprints using stacked furniture, just like any other items.
#3: Check Vertical Clearance: You can now see how much vertical space furniture requires. Ensure there's enough clearance to place building blocks or furniture above other items.
#4: Web Users' Shortcuts: Quickly switch between Free Mode, Horizontal Mode, and Vertical Mode while adding new Building Blocks:
- F: Free Mode
- G: Vertical Mode
- H: Horizontal Mode
Limitations to Keep in Mind
- Gateways: The elevation of your Gateway cannot be changed. It must always stay on the ground level.
- Elevation Limit: You can stack Building Blocks up to elevation 9, leaving elevation 10 free for standard furniture and walking space.
