Writing Contest: Haiku Winners
Hey Woozens!
As you know, today is International Haiku Day! To celebrate, we asked you to send in your own original haikus! We don't know if you know it....but you guys sure are poets!
Check out our faves below.
The wind blows calmly,
The leaves rustle in rhythm,
Indeed, it is spring.
I was colorblind,
You took my grey world and filled,
It with your colours.
Like blossoming trees,
Have their strength after the storm,
Through seasons we'll grow.
Winter season ends,
The soft singing birds appear,
Spring season is here.
I can't wait for Spring,
I long to see bright colours,
And hear nature sing.
Felt empty and numb,
Until I could succumb to,
Your sweet embrace, love.
Alluring brown eyes,
A trap that leads me astray,
My only weakness.
Origin of love,
Finding my missing pieces,
So we can be whole.
Faded photographs,
Thinking the world could be ours,
We drifted apart.
Animals roaming,
Clean water, fresh air, clear sky,
Nature is healing.
The simplicity,
Of the common haiku is,
One to be adored.
Descending petals,
Fill the air like fragrant rain,
Gifts from the heavens.
Congrats, Woozens! The poets above will receive a sweet Woozen prize!
